Privacy Policy

Welcome to "Pawsoku" (the "App"). We care deeply about your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains, as plainly as possible, how the App handles your data.

In short: At its core, Pawsoku is an offline, single-player app. We collect no personal information that identifies you, and we do not track you. In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple — we never touch your payment information. Your game data stays only on your device.

1. We collect no personal information

The App does not collect, receive, or upload any personally identifying information. We operate no server database that stores your personal information. This is consistent with the App Privacy Details (PrivacyInfo) declaration we submit with the App.

One thing to note: when you purchase a "Fish Jerky" pack, the transaction is processed directly by the Apple App Store (see Section 4). We only record a "fish jerky balance" number locally on your device, which contains no information that identifies you.

2. About local data

To function, the App saves the following purely game-related data locally on your device (in the system-provided "UserDefaults" storage):

• Level unlock progress and best completion times (an on-device list only, up to 20 entries);
• Daily puzzle streak and the state of any unfinished puzzle;
• Your preference settings (such as language, music, sound, and haptics toggles, and the daily-reminder time);
• Your fish jerky balance and cat collection progress;
• Whether you have already seen the tutorial.

This data is purely game state (level numbers, elapsed seconds, board cell markings, etc.). It never leaves your device.

3. Network usage

The core experience of the App is fully offline — solving puzzles, timing, streaks, and the on-device times board all work without a connection. The App integrates no third-party services, ad networks, or analytics SDKs for data collection.

The only scenarios requiring a connection are exactly two:

• In-app purchases: these communicate with the App Store via Apple's StoreKit and are handled directly by Apple (see Section 4). We neither handle nor store any payment or account information involved;
• Game Center leaderboards (optional): if you choose to sign into Game Center on the Ranking screen, your submitted scores are handled and displayed by Apple's GameKit service. The nickname shown on leaderboards comes from Apple's Game Center account system; we never handle your Apple identity information. Without Game Center sign-in, the leaderboard shows only on-device records.

4. In-app purchases (Fish Jerky packs)

The App offers 4 types of consumable "Fish Jerky" packs (one-time consumables — not subscriptions, no auto-renewal). Regarding privacy:

• Payments are handled entirely by Apple. All payment, billing, and refunds go through the Apple App Store. We do not access, collect, or store any of your payment information, card numbers, or billing details.
• We only record the balance locally. After a successful purchase, the fish jerky balance is simply added to your device-local wallet data. This record is just a number and is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.
• No subscriptions, no auto-renewal: All fish packs are one-time consumables; there are no subscription or auto-charge items of any kind.

5. Local notifications (daily reminder)

The App offers an optional "daily reminder" feature, implemented via iOS local notifications:

• It is scheduled entirely on your device — it never passes through our servers, and we have no way of knowing whether you enabled it or when you receive it;
• The system requests notification permission only when you turn the feature on. You can turn it off at any time, either via that toggle or in system Settings;
• The notification text is generated locally and contains no personalized or server-pushed data.

6. No account system

The App does not require registration or login. We do not offer or ask for Sign in with Apple, email addresses, phone numbers, or any other authentication. Your progress is tied only to the device you are using.

Game Center sign-in is only initiated by the system when you actively open the Ranking feature. It is completely optional and does not affect any core functionality.

7. We do not track

The App does not perform any tracking. We do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), do not request tracking permission, and do not perform cross-app or cross-website behavioral tracking.

8. System permissions

Other than the notification permission requested when you actively enable the daily reminder, the App will never ask you for camera, microphone, photo library, location, contacts, Bluetooth, Face ID, or any other system permission. The haptic feedback (Taptic Engine) and background music it uses are local device capabilities that require no authorization.

9. How to clear your data

You have full control over your local data:

• From within the App, go to [gear icon in the top-right of the Home screen] — [Settings] — [Reset Progress] to clear all on-device level progress, time records, streak, fish balance, and active puzzle states at once;
• You may also uninstall the App at any time, which immediately and completely removes all data the App has stored on your device.

10. Children

The App's content is wholesome, with no social features and no accounts, and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are the guardian of a minor and have any questions about the App, please contact us via the email below.

11. Updates to this policy

If future changes to the App affect this policy, we will update this page and revise the "Last Updated" date accordingly. We commit to keeping any updated policy just as clear and honest as this one.
